About the Owner
Mack Butler was born in Birmingham, AL on April 27th 1963.
He attended public schools in Gadsden; during high school, he excelled in the Electrical Training program offered by the Area Career Tech Center and was winner of the VICA competition his senior year. He graduated in 1981, winning a full scholarship to further studies at Alabama Technical College (now, Gadsden State Community College) and received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. At the age of 21, as a journeyman electrician, Mack became the youngest electrician to pass Alabama's rigorous Master Electrician examination. Shortly thereafter, he and wife, Connie founded Butler Electrical Contractors, a highly regarded firm that today has over 30 employees - many of whom have over 15 years of service. In 2010, the cities of Gadsden and Rainbow City awarded special honors to Mack and Connie on behalf of their 25th year in business. |
BEC specializes in commercial and industrial building projects and works in a multi-county area of north Alabama.
One of Mack's proudest accomplishments is being asked to serve on the state's Electrical Contractors Board which oversees the licensing of electricians and is now in his second term.
Mack and Connie are parents of four children: Morgan graduated in Marketing at the University of Alabama where she was the president of the AOPi sorority; Caleb is a UA sophomore majoring in Political Science; 16 - year old identical twins, Connor and Carson, are 10th grade students at Southside High School.
The family worships at Cross Point Baptist Church.
